DeviceGuard Inc. the largest independent provider of device protection services in the United States. We are not an affiliate of any service provider or retailer, therefore we can offer the most comprehensive protection, along with the most efficient customer support available.
Why do I need Device Protection?
Approximately one in three wireless handsets will be lost, stolen or damaged this year.
Replacing your device can cost you many hundreds of dollars more than your initial investment. You will not receive the promotional pricing that you got at sign up, when replacing a device. You will pay FULL RETAIL PRICE for a new device.
For example: the average cost of replacing a wireless phone last year was over $300.
How do I enroll in Device Protection?
Simply indicate to your retailer/ dealer that you’d like to be protected by DeviceGuard Inc.
Your retailer will submit the required information on your behalf.
How long is my device protected for?
Your device is protected for 12 months from the date of receipt of customer information and payment from retailer or upon the filing of an authorized service request.
What is protected by DeviceGuard?
The entire device – excluding aftermarket accessories- is covered for repair or replacement, as determined by DeviceGuard Inc.. DeviceGuard protects equipment whose retail value is less than or equal to $350.
What is not protected by DeviceGuard?
Dishonest acts by customer, negligence, unexplained disappearance or loss due to voluntary surrender to third party, optional accessories and SIM cards, theft from any premises or vehicle when not reasonably secured, normal wear and tear i.e. marring, scratching, chipping unless caused by theft or attempted theft, pervasive corrosion,equipment in transit either through postal or courier services
How do I file a service request?
Simply visit our website –WWW.DEVICEGUARD.NET and fill out the “Service Request” form,
Alternatively, you may print and fax a “Sevice Request” form to (800) 618-2910
You will then be provided with instructions on completing the service request.
You may call (888) 5-DEVICE (888-533-8423) with any questions.
In order to expedite the service request process please ensure that the service request form is fully completed, and all additional required documentation has been faxed or sent to DeviceGuard.
How long does it take to process a service request?
Requests for Service are processed within 24 business hours of receipt of all required documentation.
Repaired devices normally ship within 2 business days of receipt of damaged device. Replacement phones normally ship within 1 business day of approved service request.
What if I change devices?
In the event of equipment changes, customer must contact DeviceGuard to update records.
New equipment will not be protected unless DeviceGuard has been made aware of the change, and advised of new ESN number.
If the value of the new device exceeds $350 DeviceGuard Inc. will not protect it.
Can I cancel device protection service?
Yes. You may cancel device protection at any time. Your refund will be prorated and a $15 service charge may be applied. Please fax a written cancellation request to 1-800-618-2910, or send to DeviceGuard Inc., P.O. Box 715, Lakewood, NJ 08701
